To pre-cut and finish large wood joints. Japanese temple carpenters traditionally use extra wide chisels known as Habahiro Nomi. There are only a limited number of blacksmiths that still know how to forge these cult hand tools. Master Akio Tasai carefully forges each Habahiro Nomi by hand to ensure the large blade is fully stress-relieved and will perform at the highest level possible.
